Jennifer Demitor

Founder and Principal Architect

Jennifer is the founder and principal architect at Fabricae. In 2018, her passion for crafting meaningful spaces let her to start Fabricae in a pursuit of creating more human centric spaces that reflected each client's uniqueness. 

 

Graduating from Dalhousie University with her Masters' in Architecture in 2010, she practiced in PEI and New Brunswick before moving to Kingston in 2017. She has over 15 years experience in a variety of architecture from small to large scale residential, aviation, industrial, corporate and commercial architecture, as well low-income housing and heritage architecture.

At Fabricae, she focuses on intentional architecture that layers experiences and meaning into our spaces. She explores ideas of place and home, looking to create spaces that engage with their users whether it is a residential or a public space. Drawing on the more historical principles of form and function, she also looks to psychology and wellness to derive spaces that enrich and support our lives. 

​

Interested in placemaking on both a macro and micro scale, Jennifer volunteers as the vice-chair of Heritage Properties for the City of Kingston. 

​

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UBC, Jennifer is also an installation and public artist exploring our relationship to our surroundings both built and natural. 

CHELSEA POPE

Designer

Chelsea is a multi-faceted designer with 9 years of industry experience. She completed her CIDA accredited Bachelor’s of Interior Design (Honours) at Algonquin College and has since gained hands-on experience in Interior Design, Project Management and Furniture Design. Born and raised in Kingston, she is thrilled to bring a fresh and sophisticated design approach to her community, crafting unique and timeless spaces.

Brittany Chisholm

Designer

Brittany is our triple threat with education in engineering, architecture and interior design.  She completed her Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies with distinction from Dalhousie University and has a Diploma of Interior Design through The Interior Design Institute. ​Hailing from the East Coast, her seemingly effortless organization and efficiency coupled with her immense design talent make her an asset to any project. She enjoys using her skills to create beautiful and crafted spaces for our clients that positively influence how people use and feel within their surroundings.

Jenna Neilson

Intern Architect

Jenna is an Intern Architect working towards her full licensure as an architect. She is a recent grad from the masters of architecture program at Laurentian University; where, she has also completed her Bachelor's of Architecture. She has always loved to create, whether baking, painting, drawing or architecture. She enjoys working closely with clients to figure out those important wants and details that will make a space their own. Not only does she like to create one-off bespoke designs but she excels at figuring out how they will become a reality.
